one of my resolutions lately
has been to spend more time
shooting film:
it's a game of patience.
my point-and-shoot allows for multiple exposures, which explains the bizarre colours and textures of these photographs. while i don't think i'd want to layer places and moments in such depth all of the time, i do enjoy these free-form, otherworldly effects. shards of lake ice kaleidoscoping in the second photograph, the sharp lace doilies and cloud of roses in the sixth. these were taken in january and february, at my friend sarah's cottage near bancroft and during one of the last weekends at dad's house on loborough lake.
